Stroke

The drawing every style grows from

Strokes of 1.5 with round caps and joins, and corners smoothed the way Figma does at 100%. They are real strokes, so you can change the weight.

Look it up, pick a style, copy the file

Names describe shapes and tags carry the use, so you search the way you think. Every icon comes in five styles and ships as a plain SVG in currentColor.

Look up

Search by what the icon is for. Names describe the shape and tags carry the use, so settings finds gear.

  • You type settings
  • gear comes first
  • Old names lead to the new one

Choose

Each concept is drawn once as Linear and the other four styles grow from that drawing, so switching style never moves the icon.

  • Linear for the interface
  • Bold for the active state
  • Duotone for emphasis

Copy

Copy the file as Bloom ships it: from the icon browser, from dist/, from npm or from a CDN.

  • Copy SVG or PNG
  • dist/<style>/<name>.svg
  • npx bloom-icons get gear

Use

Every file draws in currentColor. Set the size and the color in your CSS and the icon follows.

  • currentColor, one tone or two
  • Sharp at 16px on the 24 grid
  • Checked on every build

Consistent in every style, sharp at every size

Find any of the 1,260 icons by name, tag or category. Preview any size, set the stroke and color, then copy the SVG.

Linear, Line Duotone, Outline, Bold and Bold Duotone all come from one Linear drawing, so switching style never shifts an icon.

The 24 grid has 16 cells of 1.5. At 16px every cell, and every 1.5 stroke, is exactly one pixel.

Every file draws in currentColor. The duotone styles keep that one color and show the secondary parts at 50%.

One file per icon and style, plus icons.json with every name, category and tag. Copy them, or take them from the npm package.

The build stops on any icon that breaks a rule, and names the file and the rule.
