Bloom

1,260 icons in 5 styles on a 24 grid. One drawing per concept, plain SVG files, one color.

What Bloom is

Bloom is the 24px icon set our projects share. Its categories and its five styles follow Solar by 480 Design (every Solar style but Broken), and every shape is drawn in this repository. Each concept is drawn once, as Linear. The build grows the other four styles from that drawing, so when you switch style the size, the position and the visual center stay where they were.

All 1,451 of Solar’s concepts have a Bloom icon, apart from 4 trademarks that are not drawn. Variants that differ from each other by a line in Solar share one Bloom icon, which is why there are fewer icons than concepts.

Five styles

  • Linear
  • Line Duotone
  • Outline
  • Bold
  • Bold Duotone

Linear and Line Duotone are strokes, so their weight can change. Outline, Bold and Bold Duotone are fills with a fixed weight. How each style is made.

Where the files are
